Alive and Kicking...with Goodies

Oh wow it's been a long time. I know I said I was halting production but I think its in my creative nature to stay busy and continually build on the skills that I have and will come to find.
Having that said, the following are a group of pictures that I've been making here and there. Most of these can be found on my flickr account.

This is a flyer I made for a show for my Friend Jared Stapleton
Acoustic Proletariate Flyer Final
I had the idea of making it look like a book cover, the texture is a little off I think but overall it accomplished its overall goal.

You Can Rule The Skies
Photobucket
This is a portion of a picture that I took of a skyscraper in downtown Denver a really long time ago, the actual picture didn't come out very well but, being inspired by the sky to the left of it, I decided to play with gradients and change the Skies, hints the name.

Character
Photobucket
This is definately one of the better B&W's I've taken in my life. It was shot on 35mm and no adjustments have been made. I was very pleased with the texture in the photo, I think its a picture that tells a story, and I like that.

Inspired by the visual work of Scott Hansen (Iso50), I attmpted to recreate something similar to his style of work. Its obviously nowhere near as intricate but I like the way it came out and it was a good piece to because it took me out of the blacks, grays, and whites, I always seem to lean towards and forced me to use alot of colors, something I always seem to struggle with. I really enjoy his work and have learned alot from it, so thanks Mr. Hansen.

Photobucket
Titled for obvious reasons, this was the start of my adventures of "vintaging" pictures. And although I'm a bit behind its my latest kick and I just can't seem to get enough of it in recent designs.

Southern Motion Promotion
Adam Mcmanus Flyer #1

southern motion poster #1
SOMO Web Promo

southern mortion
These two are promos for my upcoming video Southern Motion and I think these have a little more of my style defined within them. I feel sort of like an identityless author at the moment when it comes to designing/taking pictures but I suppose it'll be that way until I'm confident with my work so I'm not too terribly concerned about it. These two have the "vintaging" I was mentioning earlier and all of the pictures were taken on

That's all for now, I don't know when I'll be updating next but sometime soon I imagine.
For anyone whose following this, hope you enjoyed and stay tuned!

Hiatus

While I'm working on this new video. I'm putting all my efforts into making it this time. So I'm sort of halting everything else in order to do so.
Periodically I'll be back though and possibly post some random things.
But for now, thats not the case.

B&W Post

On Second thought, here are a bunch of old Black and White photos I took a ways back. I like some of them and others well highlights are blown and blacks are grays but for the hell of it, I'll post em up.

And just in case your curious, all of my pictures were taken on 35 mm not digital, patially due to my being poor but more so out of preference.

it was supposed to be a heart...

shutter was at like 15 seconds again i believe

Shotty Craftsmanship

I can't believe I didn't update the post before this one for a whole month. That sucks. Well anywho, this is a piece I just finished. I thought it might be cool to use in like a mock up add for some hard drive company like seagate or western digital or something but the weird shape of the picture sort of distracted me from that. So for now, I'm just enjoying the finished product, I thought it was a little funny.
But first, here's the original I took along time ago:

And here is what I came up with:

That's all for now.

Make Everything

To briefly explain myself, i'm a doer. I'm the type of person that always has to be doing something, be it some psychological problem related to my childhood or just a quirky nature that i have, for as long as i've known me i've always needed to be busy doing something.
So a few weeks ago, i was in my normal mood to start a project, but one that i could finish in a night. So, I decided to make this little paper guy and put him in an environment. Now these are the raw "unphotoshopped" files (i took these with touchups in mind) but i would really like to do something with them, like create a story, add some dialog, just something. anywho I think this is the start to what I'm going to call the "Make Everything" series. Here's the pictures:

If you don't see me around...

I put this together because i really am injured and i wanted to be doing something while i can't skate. The idea was definately stolen for mk12's machismo spot they made. it was a quick little edit i put together in a night so obviously there are some flaws in it that need to be fixed, so this really is kind of a rough edit, that i may or may not go back and fix, it was pretty much just for fun.
